Oh yes, this year we will have plenty of Retrogrades, Venus included! As with other Retrogrades, it is time to go inwards, you need more love to yourself than ever! Be aware, people (especially exes) from the past might suddenly pop into your life again!
WHAT IS VENUS RETROGRADE?
It is an astrological event when the planet Venus moves backward (AKA IS RETROGRADE) in the sky. Venus rules over the themes like love, art, beauty and money (the ruler of Taurus and Libra). This happens usually every 18 months and lasts around 40 days. Retrogrades bring out disruptions, delays and even cancellations. In Venus, you can expect more disruptions in love life and can bring old wounds related love or exes. I advice not to start new relationship during this time, it will be short lived and highly karmic with life changing lessons (was atleast for me).
VENUS RETROGRADE IN ARIES AND PISCES
In 1st of March 2025, Venus goes in Retrograde in firey sign Aries and from 27th of March it retrogrades in Pisces till 12th of April 2025. From fire to water. Venus loves love and harmony so it really doesn't like being in Aries because Aries is too impatient, bold, fast, ready to fight and not gentle at all which puts Venus in a stress energy. People who have Venus in Aries might be quite impatient and rushing in love (might jump even a love from another love quickly) and want excitement all the time. Since retrograde always mean energy is more inwards than outwards, I am sensing from the Mars (Aries and Scorpio) that the energies will be strong, impulsive, passionate and might feel rush into relationship (for those who are single), the love feels super chaotic! Old passionate flames might appear again in your life and some people might want to try again but it is not advised. Retrogrades are not time to start anything new, no new hairstyle or relationships. So why the exes come back? Well, maybe something between them was/is still unfinished. Old wounds? Needs to be healed, so you might feel triggered and some s.. might come to surface. It is the part of healing. Miscommunication? Lies? Truth to be told (either you need to or they will). Retrogrades are to finish, end a chapter. Ending a toxic situation - or relationship. Step out, let it go!
Once it gets in Pisces, yes, Venus feels better here, so the energies might feel lighter. You might feel quite nostalgic about your first love or love in general back in the days. Still it is backwards, the illusions are rising! Some of you might romanticize your situationship too much not seeing the reality. Be careful, deceptions can happen and people might not be showing their true colors yet. There is also a Full Moon in Libra in 12/13th of April, so the final conclusion of a relationship might happen.
It will be challenging time indeed, depends where in your chart Venus Retrograde is going to happen. People with natal Venus Retrograde tend to have easier time because they are kind of used to that energy, it is inside of them. Also these people might attract complicated and karmic relationships. If the Venus Retrograde happens to fall in your 2nd or 8th house, be careful with your money decisions! And if you are Aries or Pisces Rising, don't do any drastic beauty changes, they might go wrong and you probably regret that decision for long time. This will not happen with everyone, but if it happens with you, you are prepared with the information.
MY EXPERIENCE WITH VENUS RETROGRADES: KARMIC LESSONS
If you meet and start the relationship during this time, it might not last long and you might get hurt by the illusions as I did. The romantic love I hoped to have, did not happen and it crushed me emotionally. First time in my life I got betrayed and oh how it hurts! The similar pattern happened again few years later on. Both were karmic lessons to me, I learnt a lot about the relationship with myself and others, setting boundaries. And while I am writing this post, yes, it wasn't nice experience emotionally but it was an eye opening. The truth with Venus Retrograde is that you tend to wear pink colored sunglasses, especially when you are looking for the love, you tend to attract then karmic partners. The energies are quite confusing and you might not see the person nor the relationship itself clearly. I didn't either. But I saw the signs and dreams as something isn't right but I honestly didn't want to believe it. I was blinded by "real" love. And then the truth came out, shaking up myself and my whole life.
TIME TO REFLECT, HEAL AND MORE SELF LOVE
This is perfect time to analyze your existing relationship if you are in one. Try to see bigger picture of the connection. Where and how has your relationship evolved. What have you learnt so far. How have you changed. Are there any challenges or frustration at the moment? If yes, what and why exactly? Would you change something, if yes, then what? How do you feel about yourself? More love towards your self? Are you happy?
If you have misunderstandings quite often, how are you communicating with each other? Perhaps try more gentle approach.
If you are single and been ready for a relationship, that would be a good time to clear out all the old energies, think what do you actually want and what not, make a space for a right partner who is in a same page with you. Think about these questions. What have you learned about your past relationships? Are you mentally and emotionally READY READY? Do you know your emotional needs? If you know you are ready and fully healed, just wait for the Retrograde to be over. And also, don't rush. Use that time to set yourself ready!
