And back to the main thing!
How can you start your day? Well there are different ways to do so! What might work for me, might not work for you! And vice versa. But I have noticed a better change with Ceylon cinnamon!
You have seen powdered cinnamon (Cassia) being sold in the store which is cheaper quality, Ceylon cinnamon is more intense, more safer (high levels of coumarin in Cassia cinnamon can be dangerous as I am reading, do the research!) from a bark and comes from Sri Lanka. I have tried both and still use both cinnamons in my cooking, but how? When I bake, I use Cassia cinnamon, and to get the powerful benefits, I use Ceylon cinnamon.
Let me explain.
I use cassia cinnamon just for a taste experience, for example making cinnamon rolls, banana bread or for sweet potato pie. So how did I end up with Ceylon?
I saw an ad in Instagram, from Organic Burst (I am not being sponsored). And I decided to check their website. I saw Ceylon cinnamon, saw these benefits:
- reducing fat from the waist or keeping it slim
- balancing hormones
- no post-meal energy slumps (BIG THING FOR ME)
- easing period pains
- making our skin more clear and glowing
- helps with post-workout recovery
- stops the yeast and fungus growth in our bodies
- stronger immune system
- boosting our memory
- supporting a healthy blood pressure level
Okay, I saw that and yes, I was sold! I did bit more research about Ceylon cinnamon and it indeed confirmed - I NEED THAT in my daily routine.
So, I bought the powdered Ceylon cinnamon and Baobab! To try it out and seeing myself. Own eye is the king.
So I have been consuming the Ceylon cinnamon for couple of weeks every day. I do have noticed that I haven't gotten so far any post-meal energy slumps as I usually do. That my friends, feels amazing! I have noticed that emotionally I feel quite good and calm., less stressed. And I also feel quite energetic the whole day whether I workout or not! Must be working?
I am not sure yet about how clear or nice my skin looks, it looks normal to me. Since I am naturally slim I can't comment also on the slim waist part.
Now, changes take time, so I will update more changes or experiences in few months or a year! Let's see!
But so far, I am quite satiesfied and happy! I only take 0.5-1 teaspoon of cinnamon a day.

Now, how do I take it? It's easy, I just add it 1 teaspoon of the cinnamon into my coffee (I had coffee before with regular cinnamon and I still got those post-meal slumps). If you are not a coffee lover, you can make a cinnamon tea or latte:
- for tea: 1 teaspoon of cinnamon + 200ml hot water, let it sit for 7 minutes, you can add honey if you want it sweeter
- for latte: 1 teaspoon of cinnamon + 200ml hot or warm milk (I use oat milk), a bit of vanilla sugar or essence.
- or add it to your smoothie or oatmeal!
